I was born and raised in Johnson County and my commitment to our community is personal. As an assistant county attorney for over a decade I have worked to enforce laws and seek justice for victims. I have successfully prosecuted cases of sexual abuse, domestic violence, homicide, gun violence, child endangerment, and other violent crimes. I have also worked on crime prevention efforts and improving the justice system for both victims and offenders. Among these efforts, l promoted Restorative Justice strategies and created Open Office Hours for domestic violence victims to connect them with community resources.
I was awarded the 2016 Pat Meyer Vision Award for my work on behalf of domestic violence victims, and
the 2020 Iowa County Attorney’s Association Staff Attorney Award of Merit.
